November 3rd, 1999
It was late morning when we passed by their hotel just to see if we could say goodbye to them as they left by car...
But actually we got much more than that. We got inside the hotel, thanks to a girl who runs the Italian fanclub...
So, we found ourselves in the luxurious hall of this big hotel... we went to the café and we found Bryan sitting there with just another guy!
He was in a little hurry as their plane was in a couple of hours but he was very kind, started asking us our names and signing our concert tickets... When it was my turn... I sitted down on the empty chair besides him while he was asking my name, and we started a little chat about his photos. I work for a photo agency and I had a couple of things I really wanted to tell him... he listened to me with a lot of attention and replied to me seeming really interested.
I also managed to tell him how I appreciated his efforts and his book, and this was really important to me. He gave so much attention to what I was saying, thank you Bryan! He's a real professionist when it comes to talking about his work.
After this chat, we stood there for a while as he signed the last autographs and chatted a little more, then we said goodbye.
We didn't get out of the hotel, though. Bryan was still at the café, and we also wanted to greet Keith and Mickey. We had a pleasant and quite long chat with Keith, he told us a lot of things and answered to all our questions, and gave a guitar pick to each of us!
Mickey came by too, he shook all our hands and was happy to sign some booklets.
When Bryan left he passed by us in the hall and said BYE! waving his hand. When we went outside, he was in the car waiting to leave and he started making funny faces at me... and I did the same to him! :)) He pulled his tongue out at me and opened his eyes and mouth wide open, staring at us with a crazy look... we were all laughing! Crazy guy! :)
Then he kept waving his hand as the car started moving...
And this was all... we went away as if we were in a dream.
These were 2 unforgettable days indeed. Sharing them with Anna and Caterina, and with all the other fellow fans and friends, made them just perfect!
